Brain Research & Effective Instruction

Participants in the class learn the basic physiology of the brain and the fundamentals of how the brain organizes, recalls and uses information- how learning occurs. The class will enable educators to apply effective instructional strategies addressing both procedural and declarative knowledge in the development of student programs. Class activities will include hands-on use of information on effective instructional strategies and connecting the use of those strategies to current brain research.
